Passionate food enthusiast armed with specialized certifications in Food and Beverage from Bocconi University, Hospitality Management from ESSEC and a rich background as a food blogger, food writer, and critic in the Top 50 Cyprus Restaurant Awards she brings a unique perspective and deep understanding of the culinary world to her consulting work.
Although she started as an investment banker her love for gastronomy was always present. Having immersed herself in the vibrant culinary scenes having spent 10 years in London and Milan, she has cultivated a deep appreciation of diverse cuisines and cultural nuances. Her gastronomy journey began early fuelled by a love for exploration and a penchant for discovering culinary delights around the globe.
With an insatiable appetite for travel and a palate attuned to excellence she is dedicated to crafting unforgettable experiences and shaping the future of hospitality with every endeavor.
When she isn’t working you can find her whipping up delightful dishes in the kitchen with her 3 children and 2 dogs, or uncovering hidden treasures in far-flung (and nearby) destinations.

An opinionated architect with decades of experience shaping the built environment inside out, Maria brings invaluable expertise in high-end interiors and luxury hospitality to Salted Chair, along with a devilish eye for detail.
From associate architect to head of design for luxury hospitality brands in Athens, London and New York, she has collaborated closely with Creative, PR, Marketing and Operations Directors to ensure top-tier quality in hotel interiors and an exceptional experience for guests. She curates beautiful spaces and crafts stays that linger in memory.
Maria's dedication to aesthetics and atmosphere is reflected in her own pursuit of excellence as a traveller and guest. Her deep industry knowledge extends to contributing articles to dedicated interiors publications, offering a vivid perspective on high-end design and ambience.
A passionate globetrotter, she seeks out the elements that make spaces truly resonate — considered interiors and high-quality finishes, but also location, exceptional service and a sumptuous stay.
